Kickfire Unveils New Data Warehouse Appliance for Demanding Mainstream Applications

Kickfire, Inc. today announced its next-generation data warehouse appliance for powering mainstream data warehouse systems up to 5TB in size. With models starting at just $32,000, the Kickfire appliance incorporates the world’s first parallel-processing SQL chip, a columnar engine, and MySQL. Designed as a true plug-and-play appliance, the system can be up and running in less than a day. The combination of low cost, high performance and ease of use means mainstream organizations can now afford to do demanding data warehouse projects.

The Kickfire 3000 Series appliance delivers increased performance by running queries through the SQL chip and enables quicker deployment with a streamlined Migration Wizard and a faster Loader. The appliance also includes more enterprise-class features such as high-availability, query-while-load, increased capacity and a RAID card for external storage.
